About

The Full Story

Rachel Gary is a multifaceted director and choreographer who is passionate about collaborating with artists of all ages and abilities due to her extensive dance knowledge and leadership strengths. Upon moving to New York, Rachel received the Traube Fellowship where she worked with director-choreographer Jerry Mitchell on Pretty Woman: The Musical. She believes that when dance and song come together, an audience is taken to another world, and she works to elevate moments on stage through movement. Being a part of a creative team and working together to tell a story is her favorite form of collaboration. The artists that surround Rachel in a rehearsal room constantly inspire her to be innovative and thoughtful in her work. When she is not in the studio or running rehearsals, Rachel is a Teaching Artist with Notes in Motion, inspiring young artists in New York City.
